    Charles Taylor has three distinct business areas – Claims Services, InsureTech and Insurance Management.

    Charles Taylor was recently acquired by an investment company managed and controlled by Lovell Minnick Partners LLC. Lovell Minnick is a US Private Equity firm that invests in the global financial services industry, including related technology and business services companies, with a focus on helping to build long term value for clients, employees and shareholders. The acquisition will support the continuation of Charles Taylor's successful growth strategy, with a focus on expanding client relationships, broadening specialist capabilities and the range of services and technology solutions, deepening geographic coverage, and reinvesting in quality of service and technology.

    The Role

    The QA Team Lead will be responsible for the team, the customer relation and the success of the QA participation within the project. Will be required to lead the analysis of project requirements, explain the functionality to other QA team members and review the creation of the testing matrix. Will require to understand which data needs to be input to the process, how to execute the process and to gather required evidence and understand failures and accurately pinpoint if are development defects, undefined functional scenarios or data issue. Also, will be responsible for ensuring the tracking tools provided by the customer are correctly fulfilled and the metrics are correctly presented to the customer and successfully manage the communication between the QA team members and the DEV team members.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and champion Charles Taylor Values by ensuring Agility, Integrity, Care, and Accountability and Collaboration.
  • Analyse business requirements/user stories.
  • Prepare a test case matrix, test scripts and test data.
  • Review test cases created by other testers.
  • Review test plans.
  • Execute the developed process and analyse process results and identify possible deviations.
  • Execute test cases and analyse test results and track testing metrics.
  • Record and track bugs resolutions.
  • Explanation to customer about testing findings.
  • Ability to understand basics coding language to debug possible issues.
  • Mentor and coordinate team members.
  • Ensure good communication between DEV and QA teams.
  • Present QA metrics to customer.
  • Detect improvement opportunities.
  • Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Financial industry knowledge is desirable.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language.
  • Technical English knowledge is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile framework.
  • Knowledge of ALM tool or related.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or related ticketing tools.
  • Knowledge of Jira / Confluence applications.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge in GitHub / Jenkins / RLM / BitBucket tools.
  • 5+ years working with SQL ANSI.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix system.
  • 5+ years working with different databases engines like Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of DataWarehouse / DataMarts / DataLake.
  • Experience working with test cases automation is desirable.
  • Experience working with orchestration tools like Autosys, Control-M, Control Center, etc.
