    What is the role?

    dotCMS is a cloud-based Digital Experience platform changing how enterprises do digital. We seek a Senior Front-End developer to join our dynamic team.

    As a Front-End Developer embedded in the Research and Development team, you will lead and assist in developing new functionalities for dotCMS. The ideal candidate for this role has advanced English skills, experience in Javascript, and expert-level hands-on experience with modern JS frameworks—Angular, Vue, or React.

    We're proud to be 100% remote dotCMS has been fully remote for over a decade and as an employee, you may work remotely from any location that is compatible with standard U.S. business hours (unless specified otherwise). Please note this is a Contractor full-time position, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

    What you'll bring to the team:

  • Work with the R&D team to develop new user-facing features.
  • Build reusable code and libraries.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design and implement new features.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to enhance the usability of existing features.
  • Help enforce UI/UX consistencies across the system.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • When needed, work with the marketing team and stakeholders to implement changes and enhancements to the dotCMS starter site and
  • Why we get excited about you:

  • +5 years of experience working with JavaScript, TypeScript, and unit testing.
  • Proficient in Angular, at least +4 years of experience.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with modern JS frameworks - Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience with npm and frontend tooling.
  • Strong understanding of semantic HTML5 markup and CSS.
  • Experience with Nx, JavaScript Library authoring, and UI would be a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience with the GitHub development flow and code reviews.
  • Understand design and build new UI interfaces out of design systems.
  • Experience or strong understanding of Angular state management libraries such as Ngrx/store and component-store, Akita, Elf, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
