Description and Requirements:


Responsibilities:


  • Review complex transactions and prepare/post journal entries.
  • LATAM Balance Sheet and Income Statement GAAP/HYPE reconciliation of Ledger vs Sub-Ledger systems
  • Assist in financial data analysis, trending for monthend close, reporting and adhoc reports.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal controls and document processes.
  • Provide audit support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • 58 yrs. financial experience in a public or private company environment; insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP/STAT accounting concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
  • Proficiency in Access (tables, queries, etc)
  • Experience using digital automation software a plus (Alteryx, RPA, etc)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, solve problems and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with success in setting goals and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting systems (PAM, BI Publish, PeopleSoft, Other Oracle products) a plus
