• OpenEarth Foundation is a Californiabased research and deployment nonprofit developing open innovative technology to increase planetary resilience and avoid a catastrophic climate crisis._

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:_

As a
Full-Stack Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise and analytical skills to build open digital infrastructure, with a particular focus on our newly launched.

We're working on the planet's problems and we need the planet's best people to fix them.

You will be part of the technical team and work directly with the Director of Open Technology. You will also work with a variety of team members in the organization from the Product Team.


Essential Functions and Specific Duties:

• Write code for data storage systems, such as relational databases
• Deploy custom and offtheshelf components to cloud services
• Collaborate with a team of software engineering peers
• Collaborate with team members from other disciplines such as design, product management, and devops
• Actively participate in team building and culture development activities at Open Earth Foundation
• Actively participate in team building and cultural development activities in the tech department

Other:

• Actively participate in team building and culture development activities at Open Earth Foundation
• Encourage and mentor Open Source contributors to OEF's projects
• Represent OEF at standards discussions about the use of AI for improving global climate accounting

Skills & Abilities:


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent technical pursuit, or onthejob experience
• 3 years of work experience as a software developer
• 2 shipped projects/products

Interpersonal Skills:

• Ability to work in an agile software development environment with a mix of data engineers, fullstack developers, product designers and product managers
• Ability to estimate and track time worked on tasks
• Communications skills necessary to document and present work

Technology Experience & Knowledge:

• JavaScript
• NodeJS
• ReactJS
• Express
• PostgreSQL
• Docker
• Git

Other Competencies:

• Use of lowcode/nocode, cloud storage and other tools for rapid prototyping
• Using Jira for project management

Bonus Experience:

• Python scripting
• Open Source maintainership
• Kubernetes
• Training, updating and maintaining an LLM model, such as LLaMA

Compensation and Benefits:

• This position is fulltime with compensation of $60,000$90,000/year (USD), dependent on experience and location
• Open Earth offers unlimited paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave

$50,000, $75,000,000.00 per year
