Medical Science Liaison Rare Diseases

The Position

As MSL you will contribute actively to building and maintaining scientific understanding of Novo Nordisk marketed products and to the development of portfolio products.

Share up-to-date medical knowledge and clinical trial data with internal and external stakeholders.

Leverage scientific and clinical expertise to create relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and other healthcare decisions makers.

Help to coordinate educational programmes and workshops to support the internal staff in understanding the scientific data for training purposes as needed.


Main responsibilities

  • Build and update scientific and medical knowledge about Rare Diseases portfolio of Novo Nordisk products, dedicating time to search for relevant information about new developments and competitors' products
  • Identify, list and communicate with KOLs and HCPs in the practice setting (e.g., academic centres, investigators, IISs research site) to update their understanding of relevant data in each context, as well as to build and maintain relationships to facilitate scientific exchange
  • Develop professional relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., clinical operations) and external ones (e.g., support to study sites, clinical sites selection, institutional support, speakers and advisory boards) to anticipate their needs and provide them with valueadding solutions involving Novo Nordisk products
  • Help to internal training (e.g., educational programmes and workshops) for internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing), ensuring successful implementation

Qualifications

  • Medical degree mandatory (Preferably Speciality on Hematology)
  • Advanced English & Spanish
  • At least 2 years' experience in a health related system. Pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Clinical practice experience involving direct patient care preferred
