What does CFO support do?


The Latin American & Canada CFO support team is a Finance team of outstanding professionals that supports the regional CFO and the management team in Latin America and Canada.

The CFO support team is responsible for managing the reporting and analysis of the bank's financials across lines of business, maintaining close partnership with Senior Country Business Managers (SCBMs), Product Control, Business Managers and Senior Executives.

CFO's team professionals develop the analytical and management skills needed to evaluate and assess financial requests and ensure the correct decision making


Finance & Business Management's (F&BM) goals are to provide financial advice to support the business strategy around the globe and to ensure a sound control environment.

It plays an integral role in developing strategy for business growth, anticipating and responding to industry trends, and protecting the franchise by maintaining a robust control environment.

We are a global organization with presences all around the world.

Within F&BM, the three major areas of responsibility are:
Business-aligned CFO's (including business-aligned controllers and business managers), Controllers, and Strategic Planning & Analysis & CFO support.

**These are some of the activities you will be responsible for: - Provide support to Latam & Canada CFO and Senior Management as trusted advisor

  • Provide Senior Management with relevant, detailed and timely analysis of financial performance of the region, specially around expenses and headcount.
  • Ensure Regional Management is equipped with appropriated decision making information by preparing, Monthly and Quarterly reports, with details of different businesses performance.
  • Closely understand all expenses and headcount components by country and LOB. Be able to explain variances taking into account HC moves, compensation and noncompensation expenses impacts as well as allocated costs.
  • Develop new reports/processes as per business needs.
  • Be accountable for quality decisionmaking analysis.
  • Work and partner constantly with different regional and Global teams and stakeholders, such as Senior LOB and Countries Business Managers, Global P&A and other Finance teams, in order to understand business drivers and capture any insights impacting the financial performance of the region at a country and LOB level.
  • Attend Ad hoc analysis, supporting on requests from regional Senior Management.
**What do we ask for this position?

  • Strong track record in finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in Finance preferred.
  • Language Skills: Verbal & written fluent English is required, Portuguese would be a plus.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills, interest in financial analysis and accounting concepts.
  • Critical and strategic thinking, selfmotivated, intellectually curious, and proactive in finding solutions/enhancing current processes and analysis.
  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency, with the ability of working well under pressure.
  • Multitasking.
  • Ability to work across different levels of seniority within the organization, including Regional Business heads, Country Heads, Regional CFO, among others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence change.
  • Ability to adapt to changing and evolving environments.
  • Teamoriented, collaborative and comfortable working in influencing roles, but also able to work independently
  • Strong presentation skills.
