The Legal Department is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the organization of the Firm's line of business and corporate staff areas.

Each Practice Group has a General Counsel who is the Practice Group Head and who reports to the Firm's General Counsel.

This structure provides the means for the Legal teams to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the business and staff areas and for the lines of business and staff areas to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to the Legal teams in a timely manner.

We are currently hiring an experienced transactional lawyer to support the Commercial Banking Legal Team with corporate and transactional related matters


The responsibilities include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of corporate agreements with clients.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating nondisclosure agreements and confidentiality agreements.
  • Assist attorneys with advising on contractual implications.
  • Assist with due diligence review and deal closing deliverables, as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze laws, regulations and developments.
  • Engage in other special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 25 years of corporate law experience in a major law firm and/or financial institution.
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and in writing required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Selfstarter and proactive required.
  • Working knowledge of legal search engines, including Westlaw/Lexis Nexis preferable.
