- Industry Expertise: Rapidly develop a progressive and nuanced understanding of Medallia's business and the broader industry to complement a strong foundation in commercial law.
- Be a legal generalist. Provide legal counsel on a broad range of legal issues, such as artificial intelligence, intellectual property and privacy laws. You will help business stakeholders navigate legal matters.

- Education: Law Degree from an accredited university

- Bar Admission: Active professional license and in good standing

- At least 3 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, government agency, and/or inhouse legal department
- At least 2 years experience negotiating commercial contracts including crossborder transactions and across multiple jurisdictions in the Americas (US and LATAM)
- Languages: Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
- A portion of the interview process will be conducted in English, including a brief legal drafting exercise.
- Advanced Degree: LL.M. focused on Corporate or Commercial Law
- 3+ years of law firm experience
- Broad experience negotiating commercial contracts in the technology sector

The Role and Team
A phenomenal opportunity exists within Medallia's Legal organization. We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join Medallia's Commercial Contracting team, supporting the LATAM and the Americas regions. This key professional will negotiate complex SaaS contracts within the fast-paced, AI-powered customer experience management industry.
As a strategic partner to the Sales and Professional Services teams, the Legal Counsel is critical in driving sound commercial decisions through the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex agreements with some of the world's largest and most respected companies.
Success requires deep expertise in contract law and commercial risks, coupled with strong business acumen, exceptional cross-functional partnering skills, and the ability to drive consensus and resolution.
