As a Senior Systems Engineer in 'IT RDM Operations AMER', you will be part of a global IT
organization supporting critical systems that enable our Medicine and AH Global Innovation
business functions. You will collaborate closely with international teams, ensuring our
platforms remain stable, compliant, secure, and continuously improving. This role combines
technical ownership, operational excellence, and stakeholder collaboration in a highly
dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities
System & Application Lifecycle Management
• Own the complete lifecycle of systems and applications, including planning,
implementation, validation, optimization, and retirement.
• Maintain all lifecycle and GxP‐compliant documentation, performing regular system
performance reviews.
Operations, Support & Service Management
• Ensure stable and secure day‐to‐day system operations across environments.
• Coordinate with 1st–3rd level support teams for efficient issue resolution.
• Lead Incident and Problem Management, monitor SLAs, and drive improvements to
system reliability and user experience.
Compliance, Security & Risk Management
• Conduct GxP system assessments and support Deviations and CAPA processes.
• Monitor audit trails, access controls, and error logs, managing vulnerabilities and
remediation activities.
Infrastructure & Technical Coordination
• Coordinate backup/recovery processes and lead Disaster Recovery testing.
• Support infrastructure remediation, migrations, patch coordination, installations,
configurations, and interface maintenance.
Change, Configuration & Release Management
• Manage system changes, configurations, enhancements, and vendor-driven updates.
• Ensure environments remain compliant, documented, and audit‐ready.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with business partners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to
ensure aligned and effective delivery.
• Manage user access, licensing, system archiving, and decommissioning activities.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience in System Engineering or SME roles within IT projects.
• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in system support and incident/ticket management using ITSM tools
(ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence).
• Hands‐on experience with DevOps, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience supporting SaaS solutions and acting as a technical SME.
• Background in translating business needs into technical designs.
Required Skills
• Strong technical background including SQL, Linux, Windows System Administration,
Windows Server/database environments, Scripting (PowerShell, Bash), MS PowerTools,
Citrix, and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS solutions (Azure preferred).
• Ability to analyze, challenge, and optimize business and IT processes.
• Experience in product‐oriented environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder/vendor management skills.
• Detail‐oriented, autonomous, accountable, and customer‐focused.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
