Responsibilities:


Who are you?
SQL Developer I will perform development activities with the guidance of another member of the data platform team.

You will work closely with account management, ETL, data warehouse, business intelligence, and reporting teams as you develop create and modify SQL that will be consumed in the form of production of flat files or other data consumption mechanisms.


In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:

  • Advanced SQL coding following best practices
  • Creation of files using SQL code in compliance with file specifications.
  • Triage incoming bugs and incidents.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues with files and code.
  • Help monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues if necessary
  • Performing quality assurance work to verify the accuracy of files and code results
  • You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in._

Qualifications:

What you bring to the Virgin Pulse team

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

  • 1 year or less experience in data area
  • SW certification or degree in IT related field

You also take pride in offering the following Core Skills, Competencies, and Characteristics:

  • Proficiency in writing SQL, the use of Excel, and some analytical tools.
  • Detail oriented and able to examine data and code for quality and accuracy
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
