    The Global Client Pursuits (GCP) Specialist/Assistant Manager - Americas will help lead and coordinate key client pitch processes, develop and share best practice, and engage in strategic process development and training as a member of the high-performing team of pitch professionals in the Americas. The role holder will have a strong pitch professional with demonstrated panels and bids experience to manage the firm's most strategic, pitches and panels for key clients and both local and regional pursuits. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and help facilitate the proposal process for bids/pitches and panel proposals for high-value and key priority client opportunities, working closely with a senior GCP team member
  • Manage viable, revenue-generating project pitches working in collaboration with BDMC colleagues across the Americas and globally
  • Assist GCP and BDMC colleagues in the assessment of proposal requests to help determine the strength, viability, and value of client RFPs and project pitch requests
  • Research client and company intel to help develop key messages and client-centric content to ensure proposals are of distinct quality are delivered on time
  • Create detailed project briefs and outlines and provide coaching for junior team members to produce fit-for-purpose draft proposals and formatting/design requests leveraging pitch content automation technology and ServiceNow
  • Assist with client pitch debrief meetings feeding back key points to the business to facilitate further learning and development
  • Contribute to Pitch Enablement service delivery through conducting best practice training sessions, writing thought leadership for the PitchPerfect best practices communication, Community of Excellence newsletters and Baker World intranet pages, and other pitch-related projects, as required
  • Develop and deliver training for junior team members, and assist with training to regional and global teams including practice groups, BD teams, partner/business professional meetings
  • Collaborate with GCP colleagues globally to provide continual project management, communication, and support on pitches, as needed
  • Work with other Professional Services teams pricing strategy, project management, ID&E, and knowledge management to contribute to developing profitable and added-value solutions
  • Align with the GCP team's guidelines, work scope, and best practice pitching tools and resources for all pitch delivery and enablement projects, demonstrating a strong one-team mindset and collaboration
  • Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Demonstrable experience in BD/ communications in professional services, with hands-on experience in proposal development
  • Organization, project management, and ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and writing capability to produce win themes, client-centric messaging, and executive summaries for proposals
  • Interpersonal skills to work/lead remote teams of partners, lawyers, and BDMC professionals
  • Persuasive and diplomacy skills and ability to deal autonomously with highly intelligent and demanding internal clients at all levels
  • Client service focus, flexibility, can-do attitude; motivated and enthusiastic; personal drive and energy
  • Fluent written and spoken English; Spanish language a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
