Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated Capital Modeling Specialist to join our team and work with a top ten US Insurer.**:

Location:
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico.


As a Capital Modeling Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining capital models to measure and manage risk.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading insurer, leveraging your expertise in capital modeling to enhance our understanding of risk exposure and optimize capital allocation strategies.

The key responsibilities of this position include:


  • Innovative Capital Modeling: Maintain and develop capital modeling capabilities.

Data Mastery: Use Python/R/SQL/Excel to manipulate large, complex datasets for robust modeling.

Software Collaboration: Lead data extraction and modeling processes for enhanced data quality and precision.

Process Documentation: Document data extraction and modeling processes to streamline output generation.

Analytical Insights: Analyze and adjust for potential biases in capital modeling results.

Strategic Recommendations: Independently assess model results and make decisive recommendations for project assignments.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business units, rating agencies, and regulators, and maintain expertise in model workings.


Requirements:


Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong command of Python, R, SAS, SQL, and Excel.

Consultative Approach:

  • Ability to identify and recommend priority action items crucial for improvement.
  • Skilled in consulting with business partners to identify and capitalize on opportunities, and recommending actions for improvement.
  • Effective collaboration with employees at all levels to reach consensus on solutions.

Curiosity in Communicating and Interviewing:

  • Capable of asking insightful questions to better understand the reasons behind events or steps in tasks.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a desire to learn, extracting relevant information during interviews and conversations.
  • Able to uncover pertinent facts that aid in understanding why events occurred and why certain steps were taken.

Mitigation Strategies and Risk Transfer:

  • Proficient in evaluating risks and determining appropriate strategies or actions to mitigate potential exposures to loss or hazards that could impact profitability.

Report and Recommendation Writing:

  • Gathers relevant information on a given topic, task, or operation.
  • Applies assessment and prioritization of key issues to tailor reports and recommendations to the reader and end user.
  • Utilizes established reporting forms and materials, and contributes input for the development or enhancement of reporting techniques or formats.

Research Skills:

  • Identifies, accesses, and applies relevant industry standards, codes, best practices, and other information for analysis.
  • Compiles information to make wellinformed decisions and recommendations.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • 24 years of experience in capital modeling or related fields in the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of capital modeling methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, or SAS.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as Solvency II or NAIC is a plus.
