Insurance industry and is based in
Rolling Meadows, IL.

It provides retail and wholesale property and casualty brokerage, alternative risk transfer services, employee benefit consulting, and actuarial services. Also, offers claims and information management, risk control consulting and appraisal services, human resource consulting, and retirement services.

About the role:


We're looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer who will join our agile team to improve our customers' digital experience across several.

The focus is primarily on a customer-facing website, however, may support other areas of the business with product and design needs.

Your talent and experience, from owning complex product designs to rapid prototyping and UI design, will help evolve our customers' experience and elevate our brands.

You'll work alongside teams across brands from technology to Marketing and executive stakeholders. Projects will range from our branded websites to products to interactive experiences.

As part of the Digital Experience team within Corporate Digital Marketing, the team's primary focus is supporting client's and its family of brands' public facing B2B and B2C websites.


Responsibilities:


  • Conceptualize and design creative solutions that align with brand and accessibility standards yet moves the brand to new visual experiences with user research and business goals.
  • Work closely with design manager, product owners, dev teams, and user research to create a vision for projects that can range from websites to products.
  • Translate user needs, analytics and business requirements into concrete ideas, flows, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.
  • Present work to a broad range of stakeholders and advocate for the user while considering business needs and data metrics.
  • Collaborate with Research and Content to create interactive/clickable prototypes for Research as needed as well as for project sponsors
  • Produce detailed design documentation in design system to hand off to developers and QA to implement highquality features.
  • Work with the Dev and QA teams to deliver a polished final product.
  • Participate in design system testing under the guidance of manager.
  • Design, test, and iterate new features across multiple user types.
  • Create designs that adhere, extend existing brand style guides, and test to ensure designs are Level AA compliant (at a minimum). Advocate to IT the need to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes.
  • Stay current with all brand guides for the client, digital trends, tools and best practices.
  • Comfortable working remotely and with distributed teams across different time zones available for calls as needed to support global team.

Requirements:


  • 5+ years' experience or more with a degree in HCI, art, design, or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Design portfolio that showcases design work for B2B companies creating complex customerfacing tools
  • Deep understanding of usercentered design methods and best practices
  • The ability to thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative, agile environment while producing great design work on tight deadlines
  • The ability to explore ideas, persuade others, and build consensus on fastmoving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity
  • Selfmotivation; ability to produce results both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and active listening skills, with an ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships
  • Ability to distill and reframe a problems, then define a framework for resolution, generating clear, elegant solutions for complex challenges
  • Systems thinking; ability to step back and see a project's larger ecosystem, with a focus on solutions that improve not just one feature but the entire user flow
  • Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, Axure, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, along with an ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge
