What you ́ll do

What do we value?
People with initiative and responsibility, who have good diction and excellent treatment with the client. We will assess those who have a technical profile or related experience in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and solve complex systemic issues typically found in aggregate systems built from multiple vendors like Dell, VMware, Cisco.
Participate in rotating "on call" schedules including during weekends and holidays for seamless production operations.
Monitor and troubleshoot alerts from the production systems and resolve them as per the defined SLOs and SLAs
Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, Linux systems and VMware SDDC stack (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX)
Processing quota requests.
Collaborating with GCVE System Operations team to ensure production systems are running as per SLOs and SLAs.
Upgrade production systems as per the defined schedules. This may include VMware software stack upgrades, hardware upgrades, Linux upgrades, internal software upgrades.
Work with data center technicians for hardware replacements.
Identify toiling areas and file appropriate tickets to automate routine tasks in order to reduce toiling.

Necessary skills and experience required:

Ability to work effectively and crossfunctionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally
Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work independently? with flexibility in a fastpaced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment
Experience with Linux systems administration, production operations, hardware operations.
VMware background is strongly recommended
