Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction activities associated with the development of software releases for the BETSOL guest experience systems.

Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

46+ years of experience as a fullstack developer
4+ years of experience in modern programming languages and cloudbased technologies
4+ years of experience in Agile development practices
4+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architecture

Technology Qualifications

Strong technical proficiency in programming languages such as NodeJS, Java, and Python.
Familiarity with React JS, Angular, or other frontend frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes
Extensive experience in microservices development and best practices
Extensive experience with cloudnative development practices and 12factor app development
Extensive experience with microservices patterns and implementation
Familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC
Knowledge of opensource packages especially those provided by Apache, Google, and Spring

Database knowledge

SQL, NoSQL, table structure, data relationships

Preferred Qualifications

Strong work ethic, be a selfstarter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Command of architecture, design, and business processes
Knowledge of industrywide technology trends and best practices
Expertise in working in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goal
Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products
Experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain
Passionate about building an innovative culture
Fosters a culture of continuous open feedback within teams and business unit
Extensive experience with building and driving the adoption of software engineering best practices
Experience working with distributed teams, working across multiple time zones and geographies
Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction
Ability to create and execute innovation roadmaps
Have contributed to opensource technology and Developed patents
Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals
