    BA Global Talent is seeking a qualified professional in the role of Cyber Software Engineer in Maryland, United States (in-person). In this position, you'll primarily focus on developing software and systems that are resilient to cyber threats. Designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications, platforms, or systems with security considerations in mind.
    Responsibilities:
    • Provide expertise and guidance in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
    • Utilize expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug software, ensuring its functionality and security.
    • Collaborate with users to define system scope and objectives, providing analytical support and technical advice throughout the development process.
    • Plan and schedule new application systems projects, identifying objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.
    • Perform hazard identification and documentation within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.
    • Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
    • Confirm design mitigations are captured and implemented in the design and its documentation.
    • Lead projects, overseeing the performance of assigned systems developers/analysts.
    • Possess a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts.
    • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions.

    Qualifications:
    • Level 3: Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA - or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA - or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
    • Experience in developing and modifying computer-based software systems, with expertise in areas such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation, or statistical analysis and modeling.
    • Proficiency in software development processes, including design, coding, testing, and debugging.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide technical advice and support during the development lifecycle.
    • Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
    • Knowledge of software safety and systems safety principles, including hazard identification and mitigation.
    • Experience in reviewing systems and software for compliance with relevant directives, standards, and guidelines.
    • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
    • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance.
