The Role:
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our "DG" team to provide assistance to our customers.
You will be the person our customers trust, and rely on to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Taking an active role in customerreported issues, and seeing problems through to resolution
- Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve customer issues
- Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues through the appropriate internal channels
- Using information available to provide prompt, accurate, and smart support to our customers
- Documenting instructions and information for internal and external use in the form of knowledge base articles
Requirements:
- Excellent spoken English
- Call center experience taking customer calls and troubleshooting over the phone. Documenting work in a ticketing system.
- Work with point of sale systems (cash registers, bar code scanners, pin pads, printers, etc.)
- Some Linux experience is good.
- Basic networking knowledge (ping, DHCP, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of PCs including hardware knowledge
- BIOS settings, USB, imaging, etc. We are required to analyze PC problems and suggest the next course of action in hardware failure scenarios.
