The Global Investment Bank - Business Management team sits under the Global Finance & Business Management organization of the firm and provides analytical, strategic and operational thought leadership to the management teams while driving the priorities of the business through strategic initiatives and everyday solutions.


As a member of the Central Business Management group, you will be part of a group of talented and driven individuals to function as the data analysis "engine" for the Global Investment Bank product groups (Mergers & Acquisitions, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets).


Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, you will work closely with the broader business management team in New York, providing support by preparing business performance analyses and delivering other support materials that senior management uses to stay informed on business performance and competitor issues.


Responsibilities:


Fee & pipeline analysis:
Track and understand trends in Global Investment Bank booked fees and deal pipeline activity.

Provide insights on drivers of change to finance partners and management team and supporting data to New York Product BMs as part of the revenue budgeting / forecasting process.


Market & competitor analysis:

Analyze Dealogic competitor data to benchmark JPMorgan performance against other Investment Banking peers and assist the management team in understanding underlying trends behind competitor trends across Investment Banking products.


Management Reporting:

Provide weekly updates to senior management on deals announced/closed/priced, new mandates, changes in pipeline and forecast and other relevant performance metrics.


Business performance reviews & presentations:
Prepare content in Business Reviews and Town Halls. Review revenue and expense trends and competitor metrics to provide insights on performance highlights as well as risk areas.


Data management:

Built and/or maintain various databases to monitor proprietary deal-related information not available in public sources to facilitate enhanced business analyses.


Banker metrics:
Prepare and summarize banker performance Key Performance Indicators used in year-end evaluation and compensation decisions.


Business optimization efforts:

Facilitate and managevarious data-based initiatives around banker time tracking analyses, client coverage organization; headcount and organization projections; talking points for senior management meetings.


Ad hoc projects and analysis:

Partner with New York to assist with ad hoc requests to support the growth and development of the business.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong analytical background to perform analysis of fee/pipeline and league table data
  • Strong analytic fundamentals including basic financial modeling
  • General understanding of, or dedicated interest to learn, investment banking products
  • Microsoft Office experience including Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
  • Resourceful team player with a positive attitude
