Description
Role purpose:
The Senior Executive - BDMC, LATAM - PG Support, will lead the business development, client development and marketing support for the two Regional Practice Groups, working closely with the RPG Leader and the Steering Committees to develop and execute the regional strategy in the LATAM region.
Main Responsibilities:
Business Planning and Budgeting
With the LATAM Chair and Committee, develop the Practice Groups' BD and marketing strategy in the LATAM region, including its annual business plan and budget and manage implementation
Identify and develop practice specific service offerings, working with practice groups, including creation of marketing collateral, training materials/presentations and thought leadership programs relating to these services Management of the Group's Steering Committee
Work with the RPG Leaders to create an engaged and enthusiastic LATAM Committee and to work closely with the LATAM's Industry Group Leaders
Advise and guide Committee on priorities, most valuable opportunities and use of resources
Organize and facilitate LATAM Practice Group Steering Committee meetings and group meetings at the Americas Meeting, including developing agendas and materials, securing speakers, etc Client Development
Build client pipelines and development plans for opportunity assessment and growth through the inclusion of LATAM practice groups in global client plan
Work with the Steering Committee to lead the IGs' Industry Key Client (IKC) programmes and the LA Client Program, engaging with IKC teams LA client teams to assist with their business plans, solicit and share market and client intelligence BD, Client and Marketing Support Network
Work with the Global PGs Managers to lead and guide the Group's BD, client and marketing support network; develop and host regular calls with colleagues who serve in the practices to share BD opportunities, client development ideas and Firm service offerings
Work with, guide and coach In-Market marketing and business development staff in order to ensure consistency of initiatives Profile Raising & Communications
Identify and manage conferences, seminars, events & sponsorships, in particular, the PGs' flagship events
Identify and develop marketing materials required by practitioners in the groups and sub-groups
Work with the Global Communications team and E2E Service Centers to develop and execute a communications media plan, ensure that the Groups have a complete and compelling BakerMcKenzie.com and digital media presence as well as internal communications Bid Support & Credentials
Work with Specialist Pitch & Pursuits Excellence and E2E Proposal Production colleagues to prepare industry group-specific bids and proposals and contribute to multi-group bids and proposals
Partner with and provide guidance to Specialist Pitch & Pursuits Excellence and E2E Proposal Production colleagues
Work with Specialist Pitch & Pursuits Excellence and E2E Proposal Production colleagues to develop and maintain suites of industry group bid support materials for each subsector
Encourage and/or lead proposal debriefs and client satisfaction reviews Travel requirements This role requires travel - 2-3 trips every Financial Year.

Bachelor’s degree desirable/Masters or qualifications focusing on Marketing, Communications, Sales or other related commercial subjects would be advantageous
Significant experience in a marketing and/or business development role, preferably in a professional services environment
Experience working with stakeholders and developing relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
Ability to effectively co-ordinate competing priorities
Strong judgment and ability to suggest well-reasoned independent recommendations and ideas
Advanced understanding of marketing and communications
Self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision
Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization
