As the Director of Recruiting, you will play a critical role in making sure that Spark Digital is a leader in our industry and ensure that our Recruiting team is effective, efficient, and aligned with our overall business objectives. You will oversee a large and diverse talent acquisition team who will look to you for inspiration, best practices, and mentorship. You will ensure that Spark has the right people in the right roles at the right time to continue our exponential growth.The focus of this role is to assess and lend your deep experience to identify and solve our most complex challenges as we scale. You will be a key member of the Operations Leadership team and collaborate across all levels and departments within the organization to drive change and champion our culture. Responsibilities


  • Set a strategic vision for talent acquisition
  • Identify and implement ways to further incentivize, train, and support the Recruiting team by promoting a positive, high-performing, innovative, and growth-oriented environment that consistently delivers results
  • Define and communicate company-level Recruiting best practices and actively ensure they are implemented
  • Manage Recruiting personnel performance, behaviors, and morale, while coaching and mentoring others and building a culture that aligns individuals' goals with the company's goals
  • Become an active participant in the communities we recruit from to cultivate new ideas and best practices and help attract new talent as an ambassador of the company
  • Strategy

  • Evolve the recruitment strategy to a strategic workforce planning, employment branding, candidate relationship management, and robust talent acquisition programs
  • Anticipate future recruiting needs and challenges and work with senior executives to advise on strategies and tactics that will help sustain company growth plans
  • Be a highly influential talent advisor who can recommend and successfully implement talent acquisition strategies by providing expertise in areas of sourcing and market intelligence
  • Ensure that candidates that move through our company Recruiting process have a positive experience that reflects our culture
  • Identify and manage external talent acquisition and technology vendors that support the hiring process
  • Provide direction and consultation to the business on emerging trends and best practices that impact our approach to key talent segments
  • Act as a strong partner to business leaders to provide consultation on talent acquisition strategies, retention, training, and emerging trends in the talent market
  • Analytics

  • Develop, institutionalize, and monitor data and analytics metrics to measure and maximize productivity and optimize the results of the recruiting team
  • Deliver on-going reports tracking the results, impacts, and cost-effectiveness of the recruiting strategies
  • Use data to identify trends and adjust the strategies in order to optimize the impact of the recruiting team
  • Conduct research and surveys and apply the findings to improve decision-making, strategies, and recruitment procedures
  • Cross-Functional

  • Leads the definition of Recruiting KPIs and works with cross-functional leaders to provide transparent reporting and insights to Partners
  • Partners with the Brand & Recruitment Marketing team to define an employer branding strategy, voice, style, and channels
  • Partners with Organizational Development to create and maintain an engaging benefits and perks offer to prospective and current talent
  • Partners with the Facilities team regarding infrastructure, hardware, and software needs from new hires for capacity planning and solution design
  • Works closely with the Finance Department to determine budgets for hiring costs and develop special offers based on individual situations
  • Partners with Technology and Pre-sales to determine strategies, tactics and procedures to support the development and presentation of solutions to clients
  • You're the one if you have

  • Minimum of ten years of experience leading a talent acquisition team for a Software Development firm or similar industry 
  • BS or advanced degree in Human Resources or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in the build-out of data analytics programs, tools, and processes that help streamline talent acquisition efforts, to usher in faster time to hire and a diverse slate of high performing talent into the business
  • Excels at critical reasoning and decision making
  • Obsessive focus on details and accuracy of final deliverables
  • Analytical mindset, comfort with data and processes
  • Challenges the status quo and drives innovation
  • Continues to stay curious and stays on top of the latest Recruiting tools, and frameworks and proactively provides internal and external recommendations
  • Experience leading large, distributed teams for foreign (mostly US-based) clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English)
