Specialist, Events Operations
The role: We are seeking a junior Event/Webinar Operations Specialist to support a portfolio of global events, webinars and third-party sponsorships covering the Global region. The role will see you assist marketers in coordinating scheduling and logistics webinars and manage the logistics for S&P Global Market Intelligence’s exhibit and sponsorship at third party sponsored conferences. You will support the global events team with updating our internal event management system and keeping event expenses updated. In addition, you will manage client support for our event registrants and attendees.
The Impact: As a member of the Marketing Department, you will provide event operational support for S&P Global Market Intelligences’ live events and webinars to a global audience of customers and prospects. You will highlight the breadth of our brand, executing events that feature our essential intelligence, while providing the best-in-class attendee experience.
The Team: The Digital & Events team supports the Marketing Team as they strive to positively influence pipeline, drive client engagement and build brand through creative marketing programs, differentiated channel management and operational excellence on achieving their sales, renewal and retention goals. We are a highly-collaborative, creative, dynamic, ground-breaking global team, who work together on key initiatives to drive program content.
Webinar Key Roles & Responsibilities: Collaborate with marketing managers to coordinate assets and deliverables in a timely manner Act as the liaison between marketing managers and the Marketing Operations team to ensure the successful creation of all webinars Set clear expectations for marketing managers when coordinating webinar assets and offer guidance/feedback to marketers when needed Assist marketers in coordinating scheduling and logistics with stakeholders/speakers Execute live webinars and dry runs according to webinar guidelines and protocols and develop best practices (as needed) Manage webinar metrics in events database, post webinar reports, and quarterly reporting to measure webinar effectiveness Collaborate with webinar team on overall strategy development and timeline planning
Event Key Roles & Responsibilities: Manage our presence and the logistics for our exhibits and sponsorships at third party events, ensuring our brand is represented and leads have been obtained Track and manage event budgets and conducts final expense reconciliation and reporting Manage the inbox and phone line for event registrants and provide client support Work with the Senior Specialist, Event Operations to manage event registration, attendee communications, and any ad-hoc event management tasks. Interactions – effectively communicate with on-site staff and key stakeholders for all events, as well as external clients and vendors. Typical Scope & Impact - Impacts event success via effective cost management, ROI measurement and customer service.
Event support experience required – global exposure would be preferable Experience of executing and managing the logistics of multiple events is essential Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment Proven administrative, organizational and problem solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment English speaking/writing Experience with On24 webinar Platform (not required)
