We are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to join the Spark Digital family and work with one of our US-based clients, which is the social entertainment studio for Generation Z. Our client builds, publishes, and monetizes interactive short-form content through multiple apps like Yarn, Wishbone, and CatchUp. They collectively serve over 32 million MAUs and are consistently ranked in the Top 100 U.S. Apps charts.

You are the one if you have:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering) OR equivalent experience
  • Strong experience building and maintaining large scale analytics systems, including in leadership positions
  • Programming experience (Python, Scala, Spark, Go, or Node preferred) and proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
  • Strong understanding of architecting, maintaining and developing cloud technologies (especially AWS (Lambda and/or Glue)
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift
  • Familiarity with streaming data platforms (Kinesis, Kafka)
  • Experience or strong interest in delivering data products and Lambda architecture
  • Written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
