While recent advances in NLP fueled by deep learningthroughnewtransformer-basedarchitectures like BERT and GPTserieshave been stunning, they still leave a lot to desire. We continue to see novel architecturesinventedfrom long and laborioustrialanderror. In our group, we intend to find the next generation efficientattention-basedarchitectures in systematic and principledmannerthrough advances in fields such as Neural Architecture Search (NAS)andAutoMLin general. We aspire to leverage severalstate-of-the-arttechniques such as compression, distillation,quantizationin addition to NAS to produce models that are truly ready to make an impact on the world.

  • Collaboratewith researchers to develop and drive a high-impact research and engineeringagenda.
  • Develop and test out new ideasto advancethe state-of-the-art inresearch.
  • Buildhigh performanceframeworksthatallowsrapid experimentationandproof of conceptsthat canultimatelyevolvefor deployment in production for billions of users.
  • Co-authorand contribute toresearchpapers and presentations. 

    • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strongprogramming skillsin Python.
  • Demonstrated expertisewithdeep learningframeworks such asPyTorch.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
