- Lead and manage the software development team, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the software development center in alignment with the company's objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of software development projects in an agile environment, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and resources.
- Provide costed technical proposals to requests.
- Monitor and report on project progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the application of best practices in software design, coding, and testing to follow our development and quality standards.
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently, including staffing and budgeting.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their professional growth.
- Build a network of local partners to increase capacity and/or provide specific skills when needed
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing software development projects and/or teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
- Experience in working in an international matrix organization environment.
