Silvina Brienza

I am a medical leader with over 13 years of experience in medical affairs roles in the pharmaceutical industry. I have specialized in internal medicine, prevention of cardiovascular diseases, intensive care unit, and a master's degree in clinical research. Solid experience leading medical teams in different countries, regions, and therapeutic areas. Strong business vision to develop and implement strategic plans together with commercial teams. Advanced scientific communication and networking skills. Challenging and proactive thinking in the face of changes and new opportunities. More than 20 years of experience in clinical practice as a doctor in internal medicine and cardiovascular prevention.

I joined Bayer in 2017 and have held various medical roles of increasing responsibility, working in different therapeutic areas (Cardiology, Pain, Infectious Diseases, Dermatology, and Nutritionals).
I am the Medical Head of Southern Cone in Consumer Health at Bayer (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay). In this current role, I am responsible for strategic planning and execution of all business unit activities, working together and coordinating with the leadership, marketing, commercial, and access teams. He currently leads a team of medical managers carrying out medical education activities (promotional and non-promotional) for several products and different audiences. My key responsibilities are focused on five strategic pillars: Scientific Share of Voice, Business Planning- Strategy, Non-promotional Engagement, Medical Internal and External Training, and Clinical Research. Before my current role, I acted as Medical Affairs Lead for the Anti-infectives, Respiratory, and Neurology Business Unit in GSK from 2013 to 2017. 

I studied Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires and graduated in 1999. I completed the residency program in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care  (2003) at the Lanari Hospital (UBA) in the City of Buenos Aires. I then specialized in Nutritionals and metabolic diseases (2003) at the Mendoza National University, a Master's Degree in clinical research at the University of Buenos Aires, and then Cardiovascular prevention diseases at Hospital Italiano Buenos Aires (2008) and for the end the Power MBA Marketing Program - Marketing Expert (2021).
I have more than 25 years of experience in clinical practice in different settings and clinical research.
