StartupSauce - January 2022 - August 2022
A boutique digital marketing agency. Specialising in cold email campaigns to generate new leads.

As the account manager, my role was to liaise with clients and make sure their campaigns were successfully implemented. This required understanding the client's brief, and helping translate this to our team of writers and leads researchers. Then uploading and managing this information on our sales-platform Lemlist.

English Foreign Language Teacher September 2018 - present in Buenos Aires - Argentina 

I am currently teaching English to students online. Teaching has provided me with great transferable skills like patience and communication, but also the ability to be able to articulate a point, and help people to understand new concepts.

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) - October 2017 - February 2018 

Merchant service position involved helping small and medium-sized companies, via telephone, set up and maintain their electronic payment services. My role was fairly technical, in that there was a certain amount of regulation and process that the business needed to have met before they could apply for our services, otherwise, both BNZ and the client would be at risk of being fined. Therefore it was vital to communicate the correct information in a clear and succinct manner. I really enjoyed the consultative aspect of the role.

Australia Post -  April - October 2017

Customer service role involved helping people find their parcel and putting through technical investigations pending on what part of the process the parcel had gone missing. High Volume calls, Lots of angry customers, so a key part of the role involved defusing the situation.

Zenith Payments Australia - January - March 2017 - Customer service & data entry

Zenith is one of Australia's largest payment processing companies. I was on the payments desk, where I provided customer service for tenants looking to pay their rent and provide support for real estate agencies use our software.

Adam Transport - 7 September 2015 - September 2016 - Logistics in Denmark

Primarily we worked for big Danish multinational companies like Novo Nordisk, moving their officers and setting up their IT equipment. This gave me great experience working with people I would have never normally worked with. The Danish people I worked with are a lot older than me, can be very reserved and they took a while to open up, but now I feel I really fit into their team. I felt I learnt to find the right balance of communication and interpersonal skills with people who are very different from me and the English way, so it was a very good learning experience for me.

IPC Media- May 2014 – June 2015 - Media Sales Executive           

This was a media sales role for the largest publishing house in the UK. I worked on a portfolio of magazines and websites including; NME, Nuts, and Now magazine. My role was to manage existing client accounts, whilst bringing in new business. The role gave me a lot of experience in business development, nurturing relationships, having to hit tight weekly deadlines to make sure space was sold before the magazine went to print. But also gave me experience in handling receipts, invoices and client artwork. It also gave me a good understanding of digital marketing as I sold packages to improve SEO and ad-banner campaigns

Has provided me with key skills in evaluating and analysing stats, evidence, and even everyday things like opinions or arguments. I believe analytical skills are vital because it ensures I can weigh up different options and give an informed point of view.
