Sobre Daria Strakhova:
I am a teacher with 8+ years of teaching experience. Over years first in UNICEF and later as an educator. I have a strong background in ESL and some experience as Geography teacher. I support students with diverse learning needs using the variety of methods - for example, dialogs, role -playing, formal exercises and language games. I work in face - to - face and online environment, both pushing into classrooms and pulling out groups of students to improve their academic skills.
As a teacher, my ultimate goal is to build student confidence and curiosity about learning. Teaching English I can mention how colonization affected languages in Africa. I strive for a careful balance between getting them motivated to do the assigned tasks and and finding ways to learn English where language and cultural landscapes were shaped simultaneously. I believe it's crucial to make learning relevant to adolescents.
In the short run, I am planning to move to Argentina and I am keen to work for a school like yours where students develop their future life skills. Right now I am looking for a role that will give me the opportunity to work in education, preferably with middle school.
