Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis ("FP&A") Specialist to join the Finance team at Waterplan.


About your core focus


Your mission will be to support long-range corporate forecast consolidation, near-term financial and cash projections, and the interpretation and communication of financial information to the Waterplan leadership team.

You will be a critical member of the finance team, joining during a period of growth.

Your work here will provide a detailed analysis that drives funding and spending decisions at the highest level.


Main responsibilities include

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations teams to develop the longrange corporate forecast ensure key assumptions are modeled accurately across all financial statements, analyze results, and prepare presentations for internal reviews.
  • Develop a robust and flexible mechanism for refreshing corporatelevel financial & cash forecasts.
  • Model financial inputs for the longrange corporate forecast.
  • Actively monitor and track the company's nearterm cash position against forecast, providing insights necessary to optimize cash management strategy.
  • Manage the reporting of actuals for all financial statements (including against forecast), evolving the process to leverage new capabilities as Corporate FP&A tools & platforms are implemented.
  • Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights to help drive better business decisions.
  • Provide clear and concise variance explanations.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for monthly management reports, leadership, and board meetings (financial data and other KPIs)

Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep passion and commitment to tackling climate change.
  • You have at least 34 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • You hold a master's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or engineering.
  • Detailed knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting; excellent financial modeling skills in Excel (it's a must), Tableau, and Power BI (desirable).
  • Exceptional communication skills, the ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs, and clear visualizations for presentation to all levels of the Company.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement.
  • You are a selfstarter that appreciates flat hierarchies and the opportunity to shape the development of FP&A as a key pillar of the finance function.
  • Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problemsolving is your default mode
  • You will be able to handle highly confidential information capably and manage high responsibility and exposure.
  • Previous experience defining and measuring SaaS specific metrics is appreciated.
